More than 30 FinBOL projects in progress

FinBOL aims to produce DNA barcodes for all eukaryotic species in Finland. Ongoing barcoding projects are presented briefly below. The sequences produced by FinBOL are stored in the BOLD database as part of the Finnish project. DNA barcodes for Finnish species are produced as a result of projects in other countries as well. Those sequences are also stored in BOLD and contribute significantly to the identification of Finnish species.
